ROONEY BACKS GIGGS

Wayne Rooney reckons that Ryan Giggs is a suitable man to be appointed as the next Red Devils manager.

Giggs is currently in charge at Old Trafford, but, only temporarily as the Manchester United board is believed to be looking for an experienced man for the job.

However, United’s start under Giggs was brilliant yesterday as they thrashed Norwich City by 4-0 with Rooney and Mata scoring a couple of goals each.

If Giggs guides United to similar sort of victories in the remaining three games as well, he would surely force the board to give a thought about him too as far as the appointment of the full time manager is concerned.

Apart from Rooney, several other players from the Red Devils camp are also quite impressed with Giggs and are in favour of him being given the full time job.

Rooney was looking very happy after that win against Norwich and rightly so because United has been in news only for wrong reasons recently. So, securing 3 points in that manner would surely have brought some relief into the group.

Speaking to the press, Rooney said, “The last few days have been very, very difficult and thus, we needed something like this to boost ourselves. It’s really vital to finish on a high note.”

When asked about Giggs, the veteran striker said, “He’s been superb since the time he has been given the responsibility. He has been at the club since a long time. So, he has a good idea of things over here and that’s why I think he is suitable for the manager’s post, but, then again, any decision in that regard will be taken by the board.”

United’s next match is against Sunderland on 3rd of next month at Old Trafford.
